When the opportunity presented itself to start teaching in the South Bronx, I felt it was very important for me to give back to a community that has given so much to my family.  Part of my family lived in the South Bronx. Growing up I remember hearing many stories and visiting the area. I have spent the past three and a half years working in the South Bronx as a middle and high school Lead Math teacher.  

I attended SUNY Cortland for my BA in Adolescent Education Math.  I received my Master's degree in TESOL from Boricua college, and I have also obtained my SWD certification as well.  I am currently working on my Doctorate in Administration and Supervision at Fordham University.

When I’m not at SBECA, you can find me trying to surf at the nearest beach (I recently learned how to).  I enjoy working out and practicing martial arts.
